Helping to improve

THE QUALITY OF LIFE AND A BRIGHTER FUTURE FOR BLACK LGBTQ PEOPLE

We will own our identity, our needs, and our solutions.

The LA Black LGBTQ Movement works to add to the larger discussion of the well being of the Black LGBTQ, a task which has too often relegated to the likes of  privileged white people.

The LA Black LGBTQ Movement helps to broaden the image and seeks to improve how we are perceived, to demonstrate our humanness, to insist we find ourselves in the center of humanity. Where we belong.

We’re here we’re Queer embrace us!

Challenging discrimination

Black LGBTQ people have always been a part of the fabric of the Black American Experience and has continued to be one it’s driving force.  The Black Church, Black Civil Rights, Black Families have all benefited from the diverse contributions of Black LGBTQ people. However, this has often not been reciprocal. Being a Black LGBTQ person amongst Black People creates condemnation and scorn often greater from Black People than from those within the general population..

WHAT WE DO

Black Men Matter

All Black men matter, regardless of their current lifestyle or circumstances. They inherently possess the desire, opportunity, and responsibility to uplift their fellow Black men.

By sharing their histories, acquired wisdom, hopes, and dreams, Black men can diversify their image and elevate their status within our shared community.

It will also provide others with an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of our personalities, challenges, and needs.

Each one, touch one.

our community

Following the annual Pride celebrations, many Black LGBTQ individuals often experience a sense of disconnection due to the absence of sustained community initiatives. Our goal is to establish a platform that promotes ongoing engagement and pride within the Black LGBTQ community, ensuring that we have a space to thrive collectively.
